Help hunting for a website:

Has anyone seen a property tax estimator similar to this one for the state of New York? I'm trying to do a compare and contrast between East Lansing and Albany.

I tried googleing it, but either it doesn't exist or I'm using the wrong search terms.

Why guess when you can know for sure?

Go to zillow and put in an address in troy, on the "Zestimate & Charts" page it has the actual 2007 property tax near the bottom of the page. Also, if you go to the Overview page, on the bottom right is a street map which contains the approximate outline of the property line. Plus it has an estimated value based on other nearby similar homes, and some of them have aerial images of the home.

I have found that zillow has lots of holes. According to it I paid $0 in 2007 taxes. (don't I wish :) )

Because I'm not interested in any specific address. I'm trying to figure out about what property taxes would be for a house worth (random amount) in Albany city and school district.

go to that first link matt gave you where albany is $26
It's 26 per 1000 in value for a 100,00 home it would be $2600.

but looks like the rates are all over the place $16-$49 so between $1620-4950 depending on county. It is so easy you know. Which I would guess why there is no calculator.

It's pretty easy to find just the county numbers, but I was hoping to find one that also included the city and school district numbers.
