In this post,
stonetimber posted his personal creed.
Several others who read his journal have taken this wonderful idea and posted their own creeds.
This is mine:
- Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Jesus, The Bible
- Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Jesus, The Bible
- Turn the other cheek. Jesus, The Bible
- An it harm none, do as ye will. Modern Pagan saying
- If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Mothers around the world
- Never ascribe to malice what can be satisfactorily explained by stupidity. Never ascribe to stupidity what can be satisfactorily explained by ignorance. I know someone said the first part of this, but I can't remember who. The second part is my own addition.
- If someone says something hurtful to you, think about what they said. If there is truth in it, learn from it. If there is no truth in it, ignore it. Me
I don't always live up to it, but I try.
