Looking for Recs

I've posted a few rec requests in my daily posts recently, but I think maybe people haven't seen them there. Therefore, I'm reposting them here, oldest to most recent:

1. What's the coolest thing you're pretty sure I've never heard of? (Keep it more-or-less work safe, please.)

2. In my constant search for new stuff to keep me awake at work, I'm looking for recommendations. What LJs should I be reading? What communities should I be part of? Any websites you think I should check out?

3. Recommend me some fun clothes? I'm looking for stuff that you think I'd actually wear for day to day life, but is a little more interesting that I usually buy.

Added: Some of these did get 1 or 2 replies, I'm just curious if they'll get more response here than they did as part of my daily posts.

Thanks for the links! I love Baen's free library, and wander by it on a regular basis. Unfortunately, they don't add new things very often.

Yup! I spend way too much time there. I finally had to make a rule for myself that I'm only allowed to have them open in one tab at a time.
