I found out the details of my temp assignment today. I'll be working in the office of a group of local nursing homes. It's in Troy, which means a 20 minute drive.

My hours will be 8-4:30, and there isn't an end date for the assignment. 9 bucks an hour, doing mostly filing and a little typing and phones.

I start bright and early tomorrow morning.

Good for you!! That is great news....I'm sure that's a relief for you and Tom! Congrats! I started at GE (all those years ago!) as a temp and highly recommend that route. Doing temp work gives you a good feel for a few different jobs and if you are good there is almost always a chance to go permanent. It's a win/win situation for the company and for you. Congrats!!!

It's pretty cool. I think office work will be a good fit for me.
