Sigh

So far this morning work has been depressing. Too many forms about folks who've tried to kill themselves in horrifying ways. No, I won't go into more detail. I don't want to depress you too.

Tell me something fun/cool/interesting/awesome/good.

Yay! I have not given up hope of a room at the Westin, but it's starting to seem really unlikely.

This is as good a reason as any. I'm hoping to eventually tell all my friends what they mean to me, no matter how long it takes. I feel it is much nicer than just a general 'thank you' around thanksgiving.

I find you to be a fascinating woman. You are intelligent in all the right ways which makes it so easy to flow into conversation with you. You seem to have a patience that even I, as a mother, am not able to grasp. Put those two things together with your wonderful sense of style and your friendly good natured being, and it makes you a beautiful person, inside and out. I like how you are able to stand strong and firm. I also love how, although you may want to better yourself, you don't seem to be down on yourself at the same time. It is so rare to know someone who has that inner strength to know what they would like to better but not put down what they have, only tweak it to get better. It is so refreshing to see and I'm glad that you have that strength. It inspires me to not want to put myself down.

You are a beautiful woman with desiring curves, an excellent taste in style, and a personality that anyone could be addicted to. Thank you for being a part of my life. Thank you for being you. And know you are loved.

Where's the +1, Insightful spend karma option on this comment?

Thank you, too.

This made me tear up.

I'm glad to know that the image I project to the world is so close to who I want to be.

Thank you.

I only speak the truth. I hope this helped to brighten your day.

I have gorgeous wool that I'm going to use to make a fantastic new SCA dress. :) I'm really excited by that.

What color did you end up getting?

[identity profile] dulcinbradbury.livejournal.com 2011-01-04 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I went with the plum. Less worry over whether it would clash with the henna. :)

Makes sense. I look forward to seeing pictures.

I watched Castle on TV last night, and found the episode to be awesome.

And something cool:
Pouring boiling water into a mug over a candy cane that you would not eat makes a pepperminty beverage that I WILL drink. And it's soothing to my sore throat.
*goes to see if there are any more old candy canes in the kitchen*

I still haven't seen Castle. I'll get around to it someday, but TV is pretty much at the bottom of my priority list.

I'll give the candy cane drink a try.

It was awesome to see you again this past weekend, and you looked really amazing in that dress :-)

It was great seeing you, too. And thanks. :)

I don't know if you read it on facebook, but I saw a hawk swoop down, get a mouse and fly back to his tree in front of my parked car this morning before work.

It was truly awesome.

I did see that. Very cool!
