I really wish I could find some way to earn a decent amount of money from home. There are days I really hate having to live on someone else's schedule.

My friend makes a decent amount of money from medical transcription. She had to be trained, though. I almost did some legal transcription from home, but the company I was checking out was flakey about getting back to me so I decided not to do it. That only required getting sworn in by a judge.

It would be especially useful when/if Tom & I decide to have kids, but for now it would just be nice to decide on my own work schedule.

You're right. With or without kids, a flexible schedule would be a wonderful thing.
