A pretty cool idea

Science Cafes seem to be places/groups for the intelligent layman to discuss scientific subjects.

The closest ones to me seem to be in Newburgh or Ithaca. There are also a couple in the NYC area, and at least one in Boston.

There's one in Newburgh?

The map claims that there is. Unfortunately, the link seems to be broken.

Probably a typo\error on the original page. Have you BEEN through Newburgh lately?

I think if someone hosted one, people around here would come.

Was that you? Yeah, I bet there are bunches of people who would be at least a little interested in something like that.
