Tuesday is Less Widely Known

Body: Low grade aches in all of my joints, but nothing worse than a 3 (out of 10).

Reading: I'm still re-reading The Secret Garden.

Hearing: Still working through my back-log of Marketplace episodes.

Etsy find: A set of cordial glasses

Project Follow-up: I was unable to find a jar like I wanted at the Crossgates Commons Michael's.

Tonight's Project: I'm going to try the new Michael's in Latham Farms. If they have the 1/2 gallon Mason jar that I'm looking for, I'll move my cherry cordial tonight. I'm not sure what else I'll have time for.

Randomness: Anyone have ideas for what I can do with the flavored vinegars I made? I'm thinking that the apricot one might be good in a stirfry, and the sage might work well in salad dressing.

Good uses for flavored vinegars: stir fry, marinade, salad dressing, dipping sauces for breads.

If you can't find the larger jars at Michaels, tryhardware stores, I'm seeing them on ACE websites and I've seen them at grocery stores once -- although quart is by far the more common size to see.

Hardware stores are a great idea! The problem I'm having is that it's the wrong time of year for most places to have canning supplies in stock, so a lot of stores that would have them in the summer don't right now.
