Tuesday Is Storm Watching

Body: I still have a cough and a stuffy nose, but I don't really feel sick.

Book Review: I finally finished The Kalevala: Or Poems of the Kaleva District. Overall it was interesting, but probably not worth reading unless you're really interested in European mythology.

Reading: I was too tired to start anything new after finishing my last book.

Hearing: Dan Carlin's show Hardcore History, and a Documentary series from the BBC.

Etsy find: Falling Leaves Blue Scoop Neck Shirt, a very pretty everyday shirt.

Project Follow-up: "Probably nothing more complicated than some Sims" - Hah! I realized that I needed to filter the strawberry cordial for the second time, and decided to do that. I put a coffee filter in my funnel and tried to pour the cordial through it. FAIL! I think the cause of failure was bad tools, and (with some suggestions from Tom) I think I've figured out what I need to get.

Tonight's Project: Picking up the supplies to properly filter cordials, and if I have time I'll actually do the filtering.

Randomness: The Knowledge Web was put together by historian James Burke to help illustrate how history is a result of connections and coincidences.

Drive safely picking up supplies, the snow is falling thick and fast up here in the frozen north-of-the-Twins.

I may put it off until tomorrow. We'll see what the roads look like here when I get out of work.

The Kalevala is an interesting read. I picked up a copy of it back in college the first time through, and enjoyed it quite a bit.

Also, Hardcore History rules! If only all podcasts were as good...

I love Hardcore History. Carlin has a real gift for bringing the past to life.

I could see wasting a lot of time on The Knowledge Web.

Doesn't it look cool? I have to look at it again when I get home (where the video isn't blocked.)

Isn't it great? I need to look at the artist's other stuff again.
