"Fun" news for next week

It turns out that work is requiring "business casual" for three days next week. One day is no problem, two days is do-able, but three... that becomes a challenge.

Most of my clothing that isn't of the jeans-and-a-tee variety is party clothes. Much nicer than needed. :(

party can usually be toned down with a plain v neck top.....

my "business casual" is a long skirt or pants, and a slightly dressy top (V t shirt, or blouse) with maybe a cardigan or less structured jacket

v neck t shirts are currently on sale at Kohl's , Macy's Express, Gap, and probably penny's

I have the same problem -- I have nice work clothes, and I have crappy shorts and tshirts. No inbetween!

I have a little in-between, but not really as much as I probably should have. I guess it's more more clothes shopping this weekend. [whine]I don't wanna spend money on clothes that I won't have fun wearing.[/whine]

Jeans, pretty boots and a NICE shirt?

We ARE allowed jeans, here. But the advertising and office folks don't seem to be. The newsies are just radicals that way, I guess.

Jeans are everyday, and don't meet their definition of business casual. It's just for a few days, while some high muckety-muck clients are visiting the office.

what do you hav3 in mind for business casual? I may have something that would work in my collection of clothes I hope to fit into again someday. I was planning on being in Albany on Sunday, and can plan to drop stuff off for you to try in the morning if you like.

Thanks for the offer, but I think I'll just buy a few things over the weekend. I need at least one more shirt, two would probably be better, and they should probably be permanent additions rather than loans.
