I was reading through some of the information pages over at LibraryThing, and I came across a wonderful phrase: "The Seven Wonders of the Web." It got me thinking, what are the 7 coolest, most impressive, most significant websites out there.

I came up with four, and then blanked.
1. Wikipedia
2. LiveJournal
3. LibraryThing
4. Del.icio.us

What sites would you add to the list?

Gah, I can't believe I forgot Google.

That does look like a useful site. I never heard of it before.

Hi, found you through LibraryThing and would like to add your journal to my reading list, as I think we have a lot of similar interests, particularly books and the SCA. :-)

To add to your discussion, I don't know if this is a significant website, but it's pretty darn cool: www.postcrossing.com.

Go right ahead and friend me, I took a look at your profile and already added you.

Postcrossing does look pretty cool.

Cool! Done. :-)

Postcrossing has been really fun. I love getting and sending *real* mail, especially from other places I've never been. It's a nice little kind of cultural exchange and a great way to get something fun in your mailbox.

Oh, and I meant to add, I'm "Rachael" on LibraryThing, if you wanted to peruse my shelves. :-)
