Dollhouse Rooms-in-a-box

found object/improvised furniture (a la the borrowers/the littles)

Each box scaled to a specific doll

Could I make these on a large enough scale to be worth selling?

After making a few "normal" rooms (bedroom, kitchen, etc.) maybe try some science fiction/fantasy type rooms.

Depends on what you sell them for. An artist friend of mine makes wonderful small shadowboxes, but found that people were not willing to pay for all the effort. You can see her work at teeny_theaters.

Mostly I've been wanting to do a dollhouse for years, but always putting it off because of lack of space.

I realized today that if I do individual rooms in shadowboxes I'll get all the fun, but won't need as much room to work in.

And, since the fun part for me is the making, not the having of the finished product, I figure I can try selling the finished ones. As long as I make the cost of materials back I'll be happy.
