Slice, core, and peel your apples. Put in a heavy bottomed pan with a little water and sugar. Cook over medium heat until it looks like apple sauce. (Usually about 20 minutes.)
The ratio I used for yesterday's batch was 12 apples - 1 cup water - 2 TBSP sugar. That was a little sweet for me, so the next batch will probably only have 1 TBSP sugar.
