I'd almost always rather have dark chocolate than milk chocolate, but I'd rather have quality milk chocolate than cheap dark chocolate. Anyone who knows me at all knows that I adore the combination of mint & chocolate. To my mind, it's a pretty good argument in favor of the existence of a kind and loving God. I love Junior Mints, Peppermint Patties, and every candy of that type. Chocolate covered cherries are another of my favorites. Chocolate and peanut butter is also good, but it definitely comes in third for me.

Getting away from chocolate, I like maple sugar candy, peppermint, and some fruity things. Top quality licorice is good as an occasional thing, but it's not something I want all the time.

So what are your favorite candies?

Favorite Candies

Those Mint Lentils. If you don't know them, they are more like M&M's with a mint touch. But better.

Fruit slices. The real kind with actual fruit taste. So yummy.

Chocolate. Yum. But I'll have to give some serious thought toward which form I love the best. Hazlenut Cream features heavily there... and covering crystalized ginger.

Turkish Delight. The American version of Applets are great, but the traditional rosewater flavor is also good.

Licorice is food of the Gods, but I can't eat it 24/7.

I'm sure I'll think of more!

I love mint lentils!

Fruit slices are good, but I don't tend to seek them out.

I've only tried Turkish delight once, and it was... not good. Maybe it was just a bad batch.

It's not candy, but if you like chocolate and mint, I cannot recommend Trader Joe's Candy Cane Joe-Joes enough. SO. Very. Good.

Also their mint ice-cream joe-joes.

I'm a big fan of chocolate and peanut butter - and Andes mints. I'm more a savory person than a sweet one, though, so tend not to eat much chocolate/candy in general.

There isn't a Trader Joe's in the area, but those sound really yummy.
