The cats are still a little weirded out when I take a bath, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised that they were utterly flummoxed by a bubble bath. They kept standing with their front paws on the edge of the tub staring at the bubbles with big eyes. Ender lost interest fairly soon, but Skif kept coming back into the bathroom and pacing the edge of the tub looking concerned about my safety (or maybe my sanity).

Most cats are so afraid of water that they'll look at you in horror, like: "My god, you've got it ALL OVER YOU!!"

But Captain Jack, of course, climbs right into the shower. He'll kind of stroll around between the inner and outer shower curtain, occasionally peeking his head through: "Oh hai, Im in ur showerz."

That was definitely their reaction the first few times they saw me take a bath. Showers never bother them though. They'll do the same trick of sticking their heads in to check on me.

Then there's Harley and Quinn, who've figured out how to turn on the bathroom sink. I wish they'd learn to turn it off again after they're done drinking from it ...

I don't know... it's Harley & Quinn. They might know how to turn it off, and just choose not to.

I wouldn't put it past them. The horrors we've inflicted upon them, the move, the kids, the dog... They've got issues.

Monster's favorite play thing is water. In a glass, a bottle, a bowl, the sink, the toilet (he lifts the lid, I swear to Gods!), the bathtub (with or without a person in there)

And they're training the littler cats to follow in their footsteps. They're raising the Unholy Feline Army of the Night. We are all doomed.

Is he part Siamese? I've heard that they actually like water.

One of my daughter C's cats, Piper, loves water. His sister, not so much, but HE will play in almost any water he can find. He likes the bath tub, and has come to stand on the tub edge while I was taking a shower.

He loves to drop his toys into the water bowl, swish them around and take them out sopping wet to play with, drag through the house . . . and leave to form wet spots.

She has to warn guests to make sure the toilet lid is down, because he will drop his toys in there, too. I had to fish his giant jingle bell out of the toilet one time, and the LID WAS DOWN! Still don't know how he did that.

Gah. I can imagine stepping on one of those wet toys at 3am... ick.

Not so's we can tell, pretty sure he's Siberian. Wiki says they're infatuated with water as well.

Cool. I hadn't heard of Siberian cats before. Thanks for the link.
