Movie Review: King Kong
Dec. 17th, 2005 11:42 pmKing Kong
It was...pretty good. Not great, but good. Like many of the movies Tom & I have seen lately, the individual parts were wonderful but they somehow didn't add up to a wonderful film.
Complements:
- The special effects and computer animations were amazing.
- The casting (especially Naomi Watts and Adrian Brody) was almost perfect.
- The writing was good.
Complaints:
- Jack Black didn't quite feel right in his role.
- The pacing was a little off, especially in the first third.
- The characters were very one dimensional. None of them seemed to grow or change in any significant way over the course of the film.
Rating: 7 out of 10.
