I think I'm done with my car now.
Nov. 13th, 2007 08:24 amFunny noises have been coming from the back left for a while now, and this morning the damn thing wouldn't start. The engine is turning over, but not catching (I think those are the right terms.)
I know it's not the battery or battery connections, because I had a new battery put into it about six months ago. Of the things on the Haynes Manual troubleshooting list a problem with the fuel system seems most likely.
This happened a couple of times last winter on cool, damp mornings, like today. Dry Fuel (I think that's what it's called) seemed to help then, but it takes an hour or more to take effect. Not so helpful when I'm already running late to work.
I'm planning on taking it into the shop this weekend about the noises, so I'll just have to remember to tell them about the failing to start thing as well.
