jennythereader: (Bear: Nap Time)
We are home safe and sound! Bad weather turned a three hour drive into 4+ hours, but nothing exciting happened on the road at all. The con was a ton of fun, as usual, and I'll do a detailed report tomorrow. Now, it's time to do enough unpacking that I can get to bed and get to work tomorrow. After that, sleep!

jennythereader: (Book 001)
Body: Surprisingly OK after a weekend spent mostly on my feet. My knees gave me more trouble on the drive home than they did for the entire rest of the weekend.

Reading: I started A Sundial In A Grave: 1610, a novel about what some of the secondary characters from The Three Musketeers were up to 15 years before the events of that book. Very good so far.

Book Review: I finally finished Anathem. It's a novel of applied philosophy and metaphysics, physics and mathematical theory as philosophy, and invading aliens. It takes real effort and patience to read but it's completely worth it.

Hearing: Mountain Stage. I think that by the end of the day I'll have listened to my entire backlog of this show.

Project Follow-up: Returning the rental went smoothly, as did picking up my new car. The most annoying thing about the pick up was having to cut the salesman off mid-raptures because we needed to hit the road. We got into Boston around 10pm and spent the next 47 hours at the science fiction convention Arisia. I had tons of fun attending panels, concerts, and parties. I'll do a detailed post about it later.

Tonight's Project: Dishes, laundry, dinner, maybe some baking.
