Thursday is for fun reading

Body: Meh. I feel off, but nothing specific is wrong.

Stress Level: 3

Hearing: As usual, music. The iPod is feeling eclectic today. So far it's played classical, blues, trance, folk, classic rock, novelty, and celtic. And maybe a couple other genres I've forgotten.

Etsy Find: Clove flavored lip balm

Tonight's Project: Busy evening planned. I need to hit the bank, stop by the furniture store to chose a cover for the futon Tom & I just ordered, and if I have time I'm going shoe shopping. After all of that, it's the usual Thursday night dinner with friends.

Randomness: (Inspired by today's Etsy find.) Lip balm! There are people on Etsy selling all sorts of fun/weird flavors of lip balms. Are there any flavors that you just could not wear? Any that you couldn't kiss somebody who was wearing it? The only flavor I can think of that I wouldn't want anywhere near my lips (either first or second hand) is banana. I probably wouldn't wear anything coconut flavored, but I don't think it would bother me second-hand.

Odd Realization...

I think I need to start wearing heels* more often. I feel... more self-confident and comfortable in my body when I do.

*low, chunky heels that I can actually walk in. I do not do high or skinny heels except for special occasions, and even then I try to keep them sane.

Odd Concert

I'm listening to a podcast of a concert that Of Montreal did in Washington DC back in September, and I really can't decide if I like them or not.

Instrumentally, they remind me more of the soundtrack to Velvet Goldmine than anything else. Somewhere between Glam Rock and Punk Rock, with a modern gloss.

Lyrically, they're just odd. I can't come up with a better word.
