A Bad Knee Day
Feb. 25th, 2011 03:45 pmI really don't like what pain does to my perception of the world around me.
It's not exactly visual (or any other sense), which makes it hard to describe, but I'll do my best.
In some ways it's a little bit like looking through a polorized lens. Some colors seem brighter, and some seem duller. Everything seems a little sharper around the edges without actually being any clearer.
There's something that's kind of like nausea, and a not-quite headache. My mind doesn't work as clearly as normal, and I have a hard time thinking.
Everything feels at a tiny remove, like I'm moving through life wearing thick gloves. I get clumsier than normal.
