or hornets, or maybe they're yellow-jackets.
Whatever they are, I have one in the bathroom and another between the glass and the screen in the bedroom. I took the litter box out of the bathroom and have closed it off from the kittens, mostly because they were trying to catch the one in there and I don't know how much damage a sting would do. I also didn't want them chasing it into the rest of the house or trashing the bathroom in their attempts to catch it.

Date: 2006-04-21 10:02 am (UTC)It's a good idea to keep the kitties away, though - a sting in the wrong place could kill them, if I recall correctly (ie, in the throat if they managed to catch one and swallow it). It's not something that's *likely* but it's still better to be safe than sorry :)
