Things I like about my job
Sep. 13th, 2010 09:53 amA bunch of things at work have gotten better lately, but it's still not perfect. As an exercise in seeing the good things about it I'm writing down as many things I like as I can come up with.
- I like that the head of my department, and the supervisors under him, don't hover. They give me a folder full of work and leave me alone to do it.
- I like that I don't need to interact with my co-workers in order to do my job, so I can listen to my iPod all day if that's what I'm in the mood for.
- I like that the work is usually simple enough that I can listen to complicated podcasts without losing track of either the work or the podcast.
- I like that I have a cubical of my own, that I'm allowed to do whatever I want with. (Within reason.) Once I have all of my postcards and other decorative stuff up I'll take a picture to show you guys.
- I like that the tech and facilities people are all nice, and willing to help me out with any problems I have, or just to stop and chat when we both have time.
I'll add more stuff to this list as I think of them.
