May. 1st, 2006 12:27 amOne thing I'd like to do this summer is go to a good amusement park.
My first choice is probably Cedar Point, but as wonderful a park as it is, there are several major drawbacks. The main one is probably the simple fact that it's asix edit 5-7-06: eight hour drive away, which makes a camp-site or hotel necessary for at least one night and probably two. The distance also makes just getting there expensive, what with the cost of gas these days.
Arguments in favor of Cedar Point are: I've been there before and know that it's worth going back to;it's also about 6 hours edit 5-7-06: it's only 3 hours from East Lansing, so there is the chance I'd be able to talk some portion of my family into meeting me there; and admission is $10 less than to Six Flags (although that isn't much of a pro considering the ways it would be more expensive.)
My second choice is Six Flags New England. It's much closer (only 1.5 hours away), so there would be no need for a hotel and less gas used.
Arguments in favor of Six Flags are: It's close enough to day trip, I could probably talk friends into joining me, I could maybe talk some of Tom's family into joining me.
