I have officially been diagnosed with ADHD, predominantly inattentive type.

The therapist who diagnosed me does not prescribe medication, so I'll be talking to my regular doctor about that. I'll also continue talking to a counselor on a regular basis.

On the whole, I think this is a good thing. And re your previous post, it doesn't really mean something is wrong with your wonderful brain -- it just means that something is different. And now that you know, you can adjust for that.

*hugs*

Having an answer is in some ways, just as good as pain relief.

There were two survey type tests (Do you do this: a-sometimes, b-always, c-rarely, d-never) and an interview afterwards.

Two books that really have helped me with my ADD that I recommend to any newly diagnosed person:

Driven to Distraction and

You mean I'm not Stupid, Lazy, or Crazy?

Hang in there! As people said, you're not broken, you just work differently. :)

I have the sample chapters for both of those in my kindle. I'll get around to reading them fairly soon.
