If you don't mind me asking, how much was it to launch the site? I am thinking of getting my father an etsy site for his birthday.

There's no fee for signing up. They charge $0.20 to list an item, and if it sells they charge 3.5% of whatever you sold it for. They bill you monthly for whatever fees you accumulated that month.
