So much for the Republicans' theory of, "Maybe if we lower taxes on the rich and don't do anything else, jobs will somehow be created."

I like Obama's candor in the matter: "We don't know if this will work, but let's try a bunch of things and see."

I think the whole theory of "trickle down economics" has been thoroughly debunked by now, especially as a way to generate sustained growth.

Any economic theory with the word "trickle" in its title is bound to be bad news for the vast majority of people.
