Tom and I are going to be in Florida in early April. Anyone have any suggestions for what sort of weather I should pack for? Is it going to be OMG hot or just pleasantly warm? (I'm asking early so I have time to shop if I need to.)

Hee! I'm about at the same latitude...what do you consider OMG HOT?
It's going to be lovely and warm. I'd pack shorts and lightweight tees. You'll be ok in slacks, too.

(Reminds me of how I used to boggle at the "summer sweaters" in the LLBean catalog. That's not something we need down here :) )

OMG hot is over 90 if it's dry or over 80 if it's humid. Thank for the advice.

This is going to sound like me being an ass, it's not. But, it will sound that way.

Wait and hit the 10-day forecast before you leave. That way you can still do any last minute shopping the weekend before.

Oh, yeah, I'll do that too. But given how long it can take me to find an acceptable (whatever I'm looking for) I figured an early start couldn't hurt.

Where in Florida? Almost every area of Fla has significant differences in weather. ( Gulf, Miami, Atlantic, inland, or out towards NA )

We're going to be in the general Orlando area.

I'll echo other comments, plan on 70's and possibility of rain during the day and something warm for nights when it still may drop down into the 50's.

Depending on where you are in Florida, it will change. But I wouldn't pack for OMG hot -- it's a little early in the year. 70s maybe, and cooler at night.

70s make for a very happy Jenny. I think I can manage that without having to do too much shopping.

Pack for warm to hot, but not omg hot. Night will be cool, so bring a wind breaker or other jacket. Also, if you're staying on the west coast umbrellas. It will rain EVERY afternoon.

We're going to be in the Orlando area, so I don't know if that's close enough to either coast to get hit by daily rain.
