You guys all need to listen to this episode of This American Life, especially act 3. Joss Whedon is pretty cool in act 2, although I'd rather listen to him talk than sing, but act 3 is Dan Savage (yes, that Dan Savage) talking about his feelings about the Catholic Church and his mother and how they affect each other. It's really amazing.

Later edit - It was hard to listen to the Dan Savage piece so soon after my mom's death, but that was wonderful. Poor Dan.

I can definitely see it being hard to hear. It made me tear up, and I haven't even lost anyone recently.

I actually caught part of the Dan Savage piece on the radio. I'll have to go back and listen to the whole thing sometime soon.
