The forums are full of people with good taste in all sorts of things, and they recommend them to each other.

I finished reading through this entire thread last night, and my Etsy favorites list has just about tripled. So many wonderful sounding things...

Yup. You need to set up an account on the site, but you need to do that to buy anything anyway.

The only problem is that because most things are one of a kind, something can get sold before you have a chance to buy it.
