Body: My left hip is not happy with me and I've gotten several horrible stabs of pain from my left ankle, but nothing else seems to hurt.
Reading: Back to Anathem.
Book Review: I finished Back to Basics: A Complete Guide to Traditional Skills. Large chunks of it are either never going to be relevant to my life, or won't be relevant for at least the next few years. On the other hand, the sections on canning and pickling will probably be useful this summer, and some of the handicraft sections were inspiring. If anyone wants to borrow it, let me know.
Hearing: Mountain Stage
Etsy find: Water Resistant iPod Sleeve
Project Follow-up: Busy weekend: I mixed up my first cordial on Friday night, we spent most of Saturday driving around to various dealers and test driving things. Sunday I ran errands that had been put off during the week, did laundry, baked bread (from scratch!), and made dinner. Poor Tom wasn't feeling well, so he spent most of Sunday sitting very still and trying not to yurk.
Tonight's Project: More test drives. Weee.
Randomness: The apartment has climate control issues that seriously affect my ability to do some food crafts. I don't have a space that is consistently cool and dark for cordial aging, and the warmest place in the kitchen doesn't seem to be warm enough to let bread rise properly. I might be able to age things in a bin in the basement, but that's shared space and I'm reluctant use it for this. I'm sure there's a solution to the bread problem, so I'm going to have to research that.
