Body: Again, my body is doing pretty well today. Not perfect, but as close as I ever seem to come.

Reading: I started Harald. So far it's good but not great. I do like the very laconic style.

Hearing: Music again. I did actually start the slow process of deleting/unsubscribing from podcasts.

Project Follow-up: I managed to get the veggies dealt with and only be 15 minutes late to the party, which was fun. Although, I do have to say that as cool as the idea of sunken tables is, I don't think they worked well in reality. The group had one more person than would actually fit so we had to split into two sub-groups, and sitting on the floor (and especially getting back up from the floor) is not kind to my knees.

Tonight's Project: Cat-sitting duties, dinner with the gang (or some fraction thereof), maybe some refrigerator pickles.

I find that if I mentally voice the narrator in Harald as Grim or Toki, it adds significant depth to how the story flows...

That would add something.

It's something that I am fairly sure Cariadoc intended in how the narrative is styled. Laconic in terms of writing, but the entire thing seems like Harald's "no shit, there I was"... and voicing it with a skald's delivery and thinking about how that would pace the text made it from OK but not great into something much more gripping.
