I just had an interesting idea for an alternate history novel

What if the Diggers, after they were pushed out of Surrey, had emigrated to America and survived as a movement.

I think it would be especially interesting if they went to New England and, along with the Quakers, ended up as kind of a counterweight to the theocratic society built by the Puritins.

Do you know what would be AWESOME? If they took up all the lands the Millerites abandoned - the paradise discarded in the hopes of the paradise gained -- and settled there.

It's a cool idea but, (if I found the right Millerites on Wikipedia) the Diggers were in the 1630's, about 200 years before the Millerites.
