Body: My right hip and left knee are both bothering me. Neither hurts, exactly, but they both feel unstable and unreliable.

Stress Level: 2

Book Review: Inda by Sherwood Smith. 7 out of 10. It was a fun read, and a pretty good example of world building.

Reading: The Fox (Inda, Book 2)

Hearing: The Roadhouse, The Secret World Chronicle, Live Concerts from All Songs Considered

Etsy Find: I Love Geeks ceramic necklace.

Project Follow-up: Bailed on the mall errands again. I'll do them this weekend.

Tonight's Project: I'm taking the cats to the vet, and then dinner with the gang. I might try to squeeze a little knitting in there.

Randomness: So who's going to Arisia? Unless something changes drastically between now and January Tom & I will be, and I seem to have talked [livejournal.com profile] nounsandverbs into giving it a try. Anybody else?

You can only go to Arisia if Mentor invites you!

I call not it. Arisia and I don't get along.

Arisia was the homeworld of Mentor of Arisia, the shadowy good-guy figure behind the rise of the Galactic Patrol and Civilization in Doc Smith's Lensman series. Mentor's opposite numbers were the amorphous, megalomaniacal Eddorians, the shadowy evil figures behind the enemies of Civilization, exemplified by the Council of Boskone, or Boskone for short.

Thus the source of the two Boston conventions, Boskone and Arisia.

Just remember their era if you do. These will NOT meet most of the criteria of modern stories!

RIGHT. I've heard the origin of the name before. Never read them though.

I had a feeling you wouldn't be going. Do you know if Jaime is?

I want to go to Arisia one of these years, but I don't think this will be the year.
