Which ones weren't my favorites might be a better question. :)
There are books everyone knows that I've loved as long as I can remember, like Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little House series, Louisa May Alcott's Little Women and its sequels, the Oz books, and so many more.
There are the books that it seems almost nobody has heard of, but which I love as much as the more popular ones. Elizabeth Enright's books about the Melendy family (the first book is The Saturdays
), Hitty Her First Hundred Years by Rachael Field
, Ballet Shoes by Noel Streatfeild
and its sequels, and too many others to list.

Someday when I have a house and thus more room I look forward to going through my parents attic and recovering all of these lost treasures!

I loved the Little House, "Shoes" and Anne books, too. In fact, I have a collection of LM Montgomery short stories in my pocket right this minute.
