Slightly Overbooked

It's only June first, and my month is already pretty much full. How does this happen?

This weekend: heading down to NYC with a friend to the Met. We're specifically planning on seeing this exhibit, and I'm sure we'll look at a few others. There will also be shopping and random wandering and people watching.

Next weekend: I'm driving 90 minutes south to the Beacon Sloop Club's Strawberry Festival. Should be a bunch of good folk music, hopefully including an appearance by Pete Seeger.

On either the 18th or the 19th I'll be going down to Crafts at Rhinebeck. Probably the 18th, because there is a friend gathering on the 19th.

The weekend after that Dad and Nancy will be visiting, so I'll be busy showing them around the area.

And of course the weekdays are full of work, my share of the housework, Thursday night dinners with the gang, and assorted other parts of life.

with a guitar-themed trip, you might as well hit the Hard Rock Cafe, and see the Beatles' suits that they wore to the US, as well as other historic guitars.

And the food is pretty good there, too, we've discovered.

The walk isn't bad from the Museum to Time Square. If you've got a GPS in your phone, or know the city better than we do, you can walk right through Central Park, which was pretty nice during the day. When we went, we also tripped over a German Day celebration, which had a band and fire trucks, and some other stuff.

It was a good time.

Wait, the Beacon thing is on a Sunday? We are *so* on! I would love to go to the Rhinbeck craft fair, but Saturday is probably out for me until R-Day.
