Good Thing

Today's good thing is that we went to the hospital when we did, rather than waiting for Tom's scheduled visit with the lung specialist next week.

I don't really want to think about what could have happened if it had taken too long to get all the tests Tom got tonight.

But he did get the tests, the clots were found, and the problem is being solved.


Thank the Deity in all its manifestations.

At some point they'll switch him to Cumadin. For now he's on an IV drug that I can't remember the name of.

Working at the hospital, I have the advantage of being able to sneak up and visit.
He's doing fine. Is allowed to eat. Has bathroom privs. He's bored and would like company this evening.

I'll be coming back after work with my DVD player and some movies.

OMG! I am so very glad this got checked out when it did. Thanking the Diety in all it's manifestations right along with you.

I'm so glad they discovered them. They can be v. dangerous. The blood thinner thing can also be v. dangerous. He is in my prayers. I know all about heparin and coumadin if you have any questions I might be able to help. I read quite a bit when my dad had a pulmonary embolism.
