Ahem.
*In a slightly calmer sounding voice*
Tom's home! They discharged him this evening, after I could be there to both pick him up and be taught how to stab him with needlestwice four times a day. Unfortunately, the needle stabbing lesson sucked, and we're asking Sunny to show me the right way to do it. She'll be coming over around 9 for that.
There was some confusion involved in getting the right drugs paid for by the right people, but we got it worked out. Tom gets prescriptions from a different company than the rest of his health insurance and they wouldn't cover the inject-able drug that he's going to need for the nextfive two days. Eventually it turned out that CDPHP was planning on covering that drug and all we had to do was convince the hospital pharmacy to ask them about it. All was cleared up and we have everything we need sitting in the bedroom right now.
He has some follow-up visits and tests to schedule, and is going to be taking it easy for a while, but it looks like things are going to be getting back to normal around here.
Welcome home, Love!
