Monday is Washing Day
Jul. 26th, 2010 10:43 amBody: I feel pretty good so far today. I slept like a rock, and the only physical pain is my right foot, which I'm blaming on shoes that are nearly dead. I need new ones before Pennsic.
Reading: I'm still working on The Golden Bough by James Frazer. It's ridiculously long, and I've been really busy lately. Between those two facts...
Hearing: I'm still in the mood for music. What I usually do is put on one of my two playlists of stuff I haven't heard in a while, and listen to that until something grabs me. Then, I have my iPod generate a Genius playlist based on that song.
Project Follow-up: Over the weekend I made real progress on the dishes. I'm not actually caught up, but almost everything that's left is stuff that we really don't use often, like cookie sheets and the salad dressing cruets I bought for putting cordials in. I got more veggies started in the dehydrator, but Tom took responsibility for them after that. I also feel like there's some accomplishment I'm forgetting.
Tonight's Project: Feeding cats for traveling friends, and I'm not sure what else.
Randomness: I sort of feel like doing a big thinky post on my personal philosophy, but I don't want to type it up at work, and my home computer won't stay on long enough for me to do it. So, for now I'll just put up my two "rules," and I'll expand on them at a later time.
1) Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. AKA "The Golden Rule." If you've ever actually looked at my LJ, rather than just my posts on your friendslist, this probably isn't a surprise.
2) You have to accept that the world is the way it is, and that people are the way they are. You can try to make changes, but they'll only affect the future, not the way things are right this minute.
