Music Game:
Jun. 4th, 2007 11:54 amList pairs of songs that seem to tell different parts of the same story, ETA but weren't written for that purpose.
"She Loves You" and "You're Gonna Lose That Girl" by the Beatles. I see them as the same guy, talking to the same buddy, about the same girl, when the buddy has failed to change his behavior after the first warning.
"On Broadway" and "Midnight Train To Georgia", both recorded by several different people. "On Broadway" is set when the guy has been in NYC for a while, and hasn't had much luck but still hasn't given up hope. "Midnight Train To Georgia" is later, he has given up on fame and is going home, but the woman who loves him isn't going to let him leave without her.
Can you guys think of any others?
