I found the Tea Tree oil, brought it home and dabbed it on the power cords that the cats had been chewing on.

It worked like a charm! The both backed off right away, and I don't think either of them has gone within 2 feet of that outlet since.

I wonder if that would work in the Harry Potter Closet. It has no doors and they are going in there to pee.

It seems to wear off after about 36 hours, and it's not the nicest smell to human noses either. For that you may be better off with a baby gate across the doorway.
