So last night was fun

I left work a little late, trying to at least partly make up for the fact that I got in late. When I got out to my car it wouldn't move. The wheels spun, but the car itself didn't move more than a quarter inch. I tried everything I could think of, but nothing worked. By the time I gave up and went inside to see if I could find somebody to give me a hand everybody who could have helped was already gone for the day. I ended up having to call Tom to come rescue me. He brought the icepick from home and chipped away enough ice from behind my front tires that they were able to catch on something and I could move. Once I was free we looked at the parking spot and realized that not only was I parked on a slight incline, with the car's nose lower than the trunk, but the front wheels were also in a dip in the pavement. Add an inch or more of ice to that, and it's no wonder I couldn't get moving.
On the way home I stopped at Walmart to buy a new wiper. While I was there I noticed an... oddness in my vision that only got worse as I drove home. It was as if my peripheral vision had been replaced with one of those "fly's eye view" things. I thought it was low blood sugar, and eating did seem to get rid of it, but soon after dinner a similar effect came back. I've had this particular one before so it didn't weird me out as much, but that doesn't mean I like it any better. The second one was like standing so close to a screen window that you can't actually see the screen anymore but it still blurs streaks across your field of vision. The second round also came with a slight headache.
Since I'd already tried my usual cure for this (eating) and it hadn't done much good, I decided that a shower would help me relax, which couldn't hurt. After I got out of the shower (around 9:00) I laid down for just a minute. Next thing I knew it was 1:00 am.
The headache is still lingering just a bit, but I haven't had any of the annoying visual effects yet today. I'm hesitant to call it a migraine because the headache itself wasn't too bad, but the visual effects certainly sound like they could be an aura.
