Mary Louise McCartney Beard, 1926-2012

My Gramma Beard died on Friday. A full obituary hasn't yet been published, but I'll link to it when it is.

Gramma was one of the most important people in my life, and I don't think I did anywhere near a good enough job showing her that.

Tom & I will be traveling out to Michigan for her memorial service at the end of the month.

as i just lost my own grandmother recently (i've written a lot about her on my livejournal), i am so so so so SO sorry you guys had to go through with this. my grandmother was an important person in my life too, and i think the same thing. that sometimes, i know i didn't do a good enough job being there for her (even though i am in michigan and she was down south.)

just know that what you did for her, she totally appreciates you for being there for her. i am coming to terms with that about my grandmother. i wish you and tom the very best in handling the situation and if you need someone to vent to, i am here. we can have a venting session. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

I did most of my venting 4 years ago when she had her stroke and was diagnosed with Alzheimers, but thank you for the offer. :)
