That was one of the least fun nights I've ever spent. I think I may have gotten as much as 4 hours sleep, in many little chunks.
Our housemate Kailey noticed yesterday that Ender has worms (no idea how he got them, he's an indoor cat). So he's locked up on the screened-in porch off of the bedroom until that's resolved. (Kailey is taking him to the vet this morning. She has the morning off, and this way Tom & I don't have to miss any work.) He cried all. night. long. Any little noise triggered 20 minutes of plaintive meowing. So that was Ender's contribution.
Skif "helped" by sleeping on the pillow next to my head (usually Ender's spot) and growling like a monster every time Socks (Kailey's cat) came within 10 feet. There's nothing quite so disconcerting as waking up to a noise like two pieces of granite rubbing together 3 inches from your nose. He sounded like a demon from the depths.

Monday is boring
Nov. 15th, 2010 11:37 amBody: Tired again. My insomnia seems to be back to normal (that is, trouble falling asleep but not staying asleep). Also my lower back is still bothering me for no reason.
Stress Level: 3
Hearing: Music. Lots of Johnny Cash so far today.
Etsy Find: Etched silver rose garden necklace
Tonight's Project: I need to get my Mom's cake pan back to her, and maybe do some shopping.

Friday is a weekly creative outlet
Nov. 12th, 2010 11:12 amBody: Tired. My chronic insomnia seems to have completely changed forms. In the past I've had tons of trouble falling asleep, but once I am out, I stay out. Lately I've been able to fall asleep easily, but keep waking up during the night.
Stress Level: 4
Reading: I've been reading a lot of the free sample chapters I get for my Kindle in the last few days, but none of them have grabbed my attention enough to actually get the entire book.
Hearing: Right now, music. My iPod is playing me a lot of blues/rock today. Stevie Ray Vaughn and Jonny Lang for the win!
Etsy Find: Maggie perfume oil This sounds so nice. Lemon cookies, cinnamon, and sandalwood.
Tonight's Project: I have no idea. I want to accomplish something, but I don't know what.
Randomness: Assume you came into a large sum of money unexpectedly. The only rule is that you must spend it all within one year. After doing every practical thing you can think of, and stretching the definition of "practical" to the breaking point, you have about $10,000 left. What utterly frivolous thing do you do with that money? I'd probably hire a professional organizer to come in and help me set up my dream craft space, with storage and a couple of workstations.

Thursday is Corkage Free
Nov. 11th, 2010 11:06 amBody: Still absurdly tired for no reason at all, and random things keep hurting for a few seconds at a time.
Stress Level: 6
Hearing: Again, music in the morning and probably podcasts in the afternoon.
Etsy Find: A choker made from a vintage button and velvet ribbon.
Project Follow-up: I did finish
purpura's scarf, and put it in my backpack so I won't forget it next time I go down there. I did not get Tom's scarf started or play any Sims.
Tonight's Project: Dinner with the gang, maybe start my next knitting project.
Randomness: Tell me something fun you've done in the last couple of weeks, or something fun you expect to do in the next few weeks.

Body: I'm really tired, even though I turned the lights out around 11:30. I kept waking up all night long. My lower back is bothering me and the pain gnomes have been having a busy day with their ice-picks and sledgehammers. Overall, not a good day.
Stress Level: 4 - I'm really having to fight the temptation to leave work early.
Book Review: I finished Kidnapped (Dover Juvenile Classics)
last night. It was fun, but sort of a light-weight book. 7 out of 10
Hearing: So far just music. I'll probably switch to podcasts this afternoon.
Etsy Find: Tree of Life pendant made with moonstones. Very pretty.
Tonight's Project: Knitting: I'm 99% done with the scarf I'm making for
purpura. I just need to bind off the last row and weave the yarn ends in. Once I've done that I'm going to start a scarf for Tom. I'm probably also going to play some Sims tonight.
Randomness: As far as impulse buys go, what can't you resist? Lately my downfalls have been fun socks and pretty yarn.

Monday is no solution
Nov. 1st, 2010 11:58 amBody: Some random aches and stiffness, but nothing incapacitating. Really, really tired though.
Stress Level: 1
Reading: Treason's Shore: Book Four of Inda
Etsy Find: Tiny moonstone necklace. I love extremely delicate jewelry like this.
Tonight's Project: I'm meeting with some people who may end up taking one or both of the abandoned cats. Beyond that, dinner and maybe some knitting.
Randomness: What's some small thing that always makes you happy?

Tuesday is convenient for me
Oct. 12th, 2010 10:40 amBody: My legs are achy, but not dramatically. I'm also really under-slept.
Stress Level: 5 Somehow I managed to miss not just one, but two emails saying that we had to dress up at work today. >:|
Reading: Inda
by Sherwood Smith
Hearing: The Roadhouse
Etsy Find: Silver pendent in a geometric design. It kind of looks like a stylized flower.
Project Follow-up: I didn't get to the mall. Instead, Tom & I did more of the footwork for a new couch. We already figured out which couches we like best at each of several stores, now it's a matter of measuring each of them to figure out if we could get them into the apartment. If we go with a sectional, which seems likely, we also need to figure out what configuration we like.
Tonight's Project: Second attempt at the mall.
Randomness: I need suggestions for a restaurant to go to for my birthday dinner next Friday. I like going places I've never been before, and that are a step or two nicer than the sort of place the gang usually goes on Thursday nights.
