Home From the Doctor's

So, I'm home from my appointment with the gastroenterologist.

He basically agreed that surgery is the best option, and that I should have it done as soon as I can, before it becomes an emergency.

Monday morning I'll be calling the doctor sunatrya recommended and trying to schedule my Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (gall bladder removal, for those not up on the medical jargon).

Fun times.

One question. I've never had to do anything like this before, and I don't know if I need to call the surgeon directly, or if I should go through my regular doctor and have him contact the surgeon. Calling the surgeon myself seems more likely, but I'm not sure.

I'd try calling his office... if they tell you that you need a referral, just call up one of the doctors you've seen about this and have them FAX one over.
