Tuesday is Back Again

Body: I got more-or-less enough sleep, so I don't know why I feel so tired. My left ankle is also bothering me.

Book Review: I gave up on Utopia: Thomas More, and instead read a childhood favorite Understood Betsy. It's not the best book ever written, but the points it makes about the benefits of letting kids be somewhat self-reliant are just as valuable today as when the book was first published almost 100 years ago.

Reading: I'm between books right now.

Hearing: The Commonwealth Club of California for the first couple hours here, then music.

Etsy find: Rose flavored lip balm! I love the idea, and I love the minted rose stuff that I'm using right now, so I suspect I'd like this.

Project Follow-up: I combined walking with hitting Crossgates for clothes shopping. I ended up with 2 new bras and 3 new shirts. Victory!

Tonight's Project: Walking, including a stop at the post office.

Randomness: I'm considering making cookies sometime this week. The problem is, I can't decide between no-bakes, chocolate crinkles, peanut butter, snickerdoodle, or some variation on chocolate chip. What do you guys think?

I really enjoyed "Understood Betsy." Wonder if I still have a copy? (What? I reread "The Secret Garden" over the weekend. Children's books that are worth reading are still worth reading of you're over 40 ...)

I wanna put chocolate chips in peanut butter cookies, but my beloved doesn't like 'em that way. He likes his peanut butter cookies and his chocolate chip cookies, but separate.

Chocolate chips in peanut butter cookies with CRUNCHY peanut butter. Nom!

But I'll probably make plain chocolate chip, or plain peanut butter, sometime this week.

You've seen the Chocolate No-Bake (http://jennythe-reader.livejournal.com/25092.html) recipe, right? You can also leave the cocoa out and end up with peanut butter cookies. Which is what I might end up doing.

To many ideas, not enough time.
