I don't think I've read anything of her's, but I'm pleased with myself about how many of these authors I have read.
As for Margaret Atwood not liking being called an SF writer - too freaking bad. SF may not be the only thing she writes, but the books she's best known for all have either science fiction or fantasy elements.

Date: 2010-06-04 07:37 pm (UTC)I would recommend C. L. Moore's work highly, if you don't mind mid-century SF. I have a collection of her short stories, in particular, and love it.
