Cute Shoes (and other stuff)
Jul. 29th, 2010 10:01 pmAfter feeding Mark & Kristina's cats, my other goal for this evening was to get a pair of sandals for Pennsic. The first place I checked was Sears, and while they had quite a few pairs that looked like they should have worked, none of them felt right on my feet. They also had lots of shoes that were really cute and that I really want, but that I don't actually need right now. For example: would these not look wonderful with one of the fifties reproduction dresses I have on my Etsy wishlist? There were several similar pairs in that semi-retro style.
I ended up getting these, from Boscov's. I swear, I didn't notice the name of the style till I got them home!
Boscov's also had a wonderful dress: fitted bodice, V-neck, loose flowy skirt, about knee length. I liked the cut of it enough that if they'd had it in my size I would have tried it on and maybe bought it in spite of the fact that I don't need a new dress, it's not in my budget, and the color.
I think once I get home from Pennsic I'm going to budget myself a couple hundred dollars for a clothing binge. Buy some fun, cute stuff and get rid of some of my more worn out things.
