After feeding Mark & Kristina's cats, my other goal for this evening was to get a pair of sandals for Pennsic. The first place I checked was Sears, and while they had quite a few pairs that looked like they should have worked, none of them felt right on my feet. They also had lots of shoes that were really cute and that I really want, but that I don't actually need right now. For example: would these not look wonderful with one of the fifties reproduction dresses I have on my Etsy wishlist? There were several similar pairs in that semi-retro style.

I ended up getting these, from Boscov's. I swear, I didn't notice the name of the style till I got them home!

Boscov's also had a wonderful dress: fitted bodice, V-neck, loose flowy skirt, about knee length. I liked the cut of it enough that if they'd had it in my size I would have tried it on and maybe bought it in spite of the fact that I don't need a new dress, it's not in my budget, and the color.

I think once I get home from Pennsic I'm going to budget myself a couple hundred dollars for a clothing binge. Buy some fun, cute stuff and get rid of some of my more worn out things.

The size change is annoying.

Have you tried thrift stores? The nice stuff to junk ratio is about 100 times worse than at regular stores, but you can't beat the prices.
