Awww...I love Laura Ingalls Wilder. The funny thing was, growing up in the West African bush, conditions were pretty much as basic for us as they were for pioneer folk, so when she talked about kerosene lamps and that sort of thing I knew exactly what she was talking about!

Well, maybe not snow...
