Sorry I haven't posted for a while. Life is continuing much as it has this past age.

Last week I finally bought Sims 2. I got it home, got it installed, and was told that I didn't have a good enough video card to actually play it. So, with Tom's advice I picked out a new one from NewEgg.com and waited for it to show up. UPS got it to Albany fairly quickly, but they don't seem to have grasped that if you need a signature from the person who the package is addressed to, and they aren't home at 1:00 in the afternoon the first time you try, maybe you should try delivering it in the evening.

I eventually went and picked it up at the UPS offices in Latham. Tuesday night I installed it under Tom's supervision (while he was trying to do about 5 other things at once, thanks love!). The actual object installed easily enough, but the software was a bit more challenging. We finally got it running, and I was able to play my new game.

Sims 2 is interesting. The play is much more dynamic than in Sims 1, and you need to pay closer attention to what your little people are doing.

I may do a more detailed review after I've been playing longer.

That's sort of what I figured. I actually think the boys, or at least Travis, will get bored quickly with Sims 1. It takes too much concentration. Although interactions are interesting when he plays because he can't read and won't let you tell him his choices...
